About 20 students met in the Arkansas Union yesterday for the monthly Students for Life meeting. They met to discuss activities for the semester, as well as inform their members of the horrific process of abortion.

Actual medical footage was shown of the process of an abortion because the leader, Julia Pritchett, believes that in order to debate against this act you must know the process.

The Young Americans for Liberty Chapter at the University of Arkansas celebrated the 22nd anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall yesterday.  Many students wrote graffiti on the "Berlin Wall" to commemorate the collapse of communism in Eastern Europe, and the start of the reunification of Germany.

Gender Neutral Housing Coming to Campus

The University of Arkansas is considering a proposal to allow gender neutral housing on campus. This is to allow students to choose their roommates, regardless of sex. This is openly promoting immorality on the campus.

Over 100 students gathered in the Courtroom of the Law Building to hear Diana Furchtgott-Roth, former Chief of Staff of Bush II's Council of Economic Advisers and Chief Economist of the Department of Labor. This was the most controversial topic the Federalist Society has hosted a speaker for so far, so this drew the largest crowd they have hosted all year.

Today I sat down with officers of the Federalist Society, and we discussed some of the events that they have hosted this semester, as well as events they will host in the future.

They expressed to me trouble with Sodexho, the dining service provider at the University, holding a monopoly on events that are hosted at the University.

Each summer hundreds of competing weekend events and excursions fill the time of DC students and interns. 

Instead of hitting up the beach, an amusement park, or one of the many local DC attractions 129 conservative students filled two entire days and nights learning how to become more effective conservative activists at the Leadership Institute's Youth Leadership School.

College campus talk is filled with nebulous buzz words that serve as smokescreens for the left. If it's not "diversity" that's being thrown around, it's likely to be the encantation "sustainability." But sustain what? And how?

According to the Arkansas Traveler, the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville is considering the establishment of a minor in sustainability. And unsurprisingly, after many years of eco-propaganda, many students seem to support the initiative.

There's nothing wrong with studying our environment and the way we use resources, which is why many universities have environmental science departments. But do we really want higher education turning out more Al Gores telling us the sky is falling and trying to run our lives through government control of and caps on energy?
